Sumac Fries

Sumac fries is a quick air fryer recipe where sumac spice elevates your regular French fries, making it a great party side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sumac powder
  • Salt to taste
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Peel and cut the potatoes into uniform matchsticks. Soak the potatoes in a bowl of cold water for 5 to 10 minutes and wash twice. Drain and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  • In a large bowl, toss the potato matchsticks with olive oil and air fry for 15 to 20 minutes. Shake the basket and flip the fries halfway through and cook until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once done, remove from the air fry basket and transfer the fries to a large bowl. Sprinkle over salt and sumac powder and give it a toss to coat all the fries.
  • Serve the sumac fries hot, with your favorite condiment and a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley.
